Please Note - Medical Advice
Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.
You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.
We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.
Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.
That's a real shame if she doesn't like the Sainfoin pellets. Any interest in the brick? Have to say that this is sadly my experience too, that rabbits aren't interested in healthy grass pellets etc. Such a completely different reaction to normal SS pellets, which does make you wonder what exactly is so enticing in normal pellets.Boo had her physio & related therapies again today

I should have known better. I shouldn't be surprised though, with rabbits generally being fickle & not enjoying the purer pelleted feeds (like when i've bought forage pellets, grass pellets, hay/forage bricks)....plus it was kind of inevitable it would go wrong as i bought so much. If I'd just got a sample they'd prob love it...or maybe not as even Eddy wasn't interested. I liked the idea of sainfoin cos of it encouraging protein uptake but will get some alfalfa hay instead
awww thank you she does seem to enjoy it, bless herOh bless her, look at her lying there like a good bunny. She looks really relaxed too. Hope you enjoyed it Boobly, such a lovely thing to do J & B xx
ohhh thanks for that. I've emailed them about a sample. That's a real shame if she doesn't like the Sainfoin pellets. Any interest in the brick? Have you seen this website? http://windrushfarm.co.uk/sainfoin-holy-hay/
I saw it when you posted last week about Sainfoin, but didn't mention it then, as I considered you wouldn't get hay because of Eddy. I think the owners of this farm sound quite besotted by Sainfoin and so I think if it were me, I would contact them, praising the merits of Sainfoin and explaining about Boo and her physio. I think there's a small chance they might be interested in sending you a small amount of Sainfoin hay if you offer to pay for delivery charges.
Do you know anyone with horses who might be interested in your bag of pellets?
She it too cute. She is a bit fidgety foe the first minute or two, then she proper chills out. Wish I could afford to do it more than weeklyI thin I'm Boo's physio therapist is enjoying the Boo time in the snuggle bed
Boo looks adorable getting a massage in her snuggle bed.
Is Boo insured? Some policies will cover complimentary therapies A person who runs a Rabbit Sanctuary has a Physio who teaches her how to do some procedures herself so the Bunny being treated gets some form of Physio every day, obviously not so comprehensive as that received during the appointment, but every little helps, so to speakShe it too cute. Yes, at least they replied, but disappointing.well no samples for Boo but at least they replied
Sorry Louise the Sainfoin has now been exhausted we our hay is mostly grass the clover this year.
I think some of the feed mills sell small bales of crushed sainfoin but I don't know which.

Don't really understand the content but I understand none available
She is insured through Agria. I think they offer up to £250 on complimentary therapies but havent explored it yet.Is Boo insured? the sainfoin block crumbles quite easily. I really don't think they'll like the hay. Boo is hay reluctant most of the time. Gonna try alfalfa insteadYes, at least they replied, but disappointing.
If you want to try some more, these people https://www.cotswoldseeds.com/seeds/16/sainfoin are the largest supplier of Sainfroin seeds in the UK and seem keen to promote it. They were also part of an EU research project into promoting its use.
I reckon if anyone knows where to obtain Sainfoin hay, it would be them. You could send them an email.
That's the one omi linked - they are now growing other stuff so I assume the sainfoin was not a successNot sure if this is any help, free sample of Sainfoin Hay
