The trouble is we don't know when the mods are on because they are on invisible mode, so how can we get help ?

If you report it the first mod online will deal with it. Doesn't matter if you can see them or not they'll see the report.

But how do you know who to pm, you can't see them so you are guessing or do you mean to send the same pm to all the mods?, surely that would then be classed as spam wouldn't it?
Tamsin means report as in click the report button on a post. That way whoever is on next will see it and deal with it.
Obviously if your thread has been removed, then you can't report it, but you're welcome to PM all the mods if you want, many people do that.

How can you when a thread has been locked?

It looks to me as if you can still report posts in a locked thread - I have just tried it out in a locked thread and it takes me through to the right page to report as you would any other post - so unless it gives an error message when you actually submit the report, it looks as if you can still do it in a locked thread

Well, we've established that if the thread is locked you can use 'report this post'.....but what about the threads that just vanish that you might want to ask about? Then you have to track down a Mod to PM, I guess :?

You don't have to track us down, whether we are online or not, just send a PM to all of us by adding all our names (copy and paste from the bottom right hand corner mod box, in each section, if you have to) to one PM and whoever is online first will respond.

And me and it's in the forum rules that if you pm a number of people with the same thing it is classed as spam and you will get an infraction:roll:

To save the problem why can't you, as moderators, all be in visible mode and then we will know who to pm, it would make life a lot easier

I wanted to say that, but I thought it was maybe cos I've had infractions so didn't say anything
plus how can you find out the names of the moderators? is there a list somewhere? I know there's the list of ones online, and the member list (but you have to go through every single member) but is there one central list? I know there's Mandy, Leanne, Jeremy, Tamsin, loopylou (is that right?) anyone else?

There is a moderator box with all our names in purple at the bottom of each section, to the right of 'currently active users'

It's personal choice for each moderator, I'm usually visible but I do change it to invisible sometimes if I am at work or just popping in for a few minutes.

PM'ing all the mods at the same time isn't spamming.
That rule is to stop people sending unwanted/uninvited PM's.
