Please Note - Medical Advice
Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.
You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.
We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.
Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.
I hope she has stopped now. How's sweet Boo doing todayI
This sounds like code for you ate the rest yourself!nope, no strawberries for Eddy. He is neither recuperating nor in need of the calories. Poor sausage
Hopefully Boo will be back to normal when you get home this afternoon.
I haven't eaten any - honest. Normally I don't buy strawberries but from the garden Boo always gets the first one!, the rest are shared between her, Bob & I - Eddy only gets the leaves. I know it sounds mean but I don't want him gaining any more weightThis sounds like code for you ate the rest yourself!.
I am glad to read you did not hear Boo sneezing today and hope that she stays sneeze free.
They both look very cute in their photos.
Thank You, it is. Been with her even longer & not heard a sneeze. I picked up a few just budding twigs for her & she enjoyed them. Made me happy as I don't feel her current recuperation diet is high enough in fibre. Ruth did say that having her cavity cleaned out will have made her uncomfortable again - I hope its "just" thatYay, great news.![]()
Thank You, it feels like we're getting there, but not there yet. She just pooped on my foot though & it was a good looking poopJust catching up on this, am glad Boo is feeling better! Hope her mouth is feeling much more comfortable now.
it was a complete coincidenceEddy was a superstar. It normally takes2 of us ages to capture him . Today I had a little chat, acknowledging him being worried about Boo & to make her better we needed to journey to the vet..no doubt a complete coincidence butr he let me pick him up instantly to pop him in carrier.
It does not sound mean. You do not want him to gain weight nor do you want him to develope a taste for something he could not have often. My lionheads became beggers after my knee surgery last year and they gained weight. Now they are giving us the sad faces because they are getting many fewer pellets. I remember how Boo gets the first strawberry each summer!I haven't eaten any - honest. Normally I don't buy strawberries but from the garden Boo always gets the first one!, the rest are shared between her, Bob & I - Eddy only gets the leaves. I know it sounds mean but I don't want him gaining any more weight
Oh, Eddy.it was a complete coincidencejust tested it out
"hey Eddy, you know that home the police rescued you from? well I was wondering if you'd like to go back. If you would, let me pick you up " ....& he did.
I was just about to ask the same question ....How is Boo today?
