• Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Vibes for Boobly Bear please

I certainly am. How's your Heidi doing BM? and little shiny boy Raven?
Thank you for asking. Heidi and Raven continue to amaze me.
You know from Joey, Mouse and Boo how some bunnies do not let their disabilities/health issues get in their way of being happy.
Sending more vibes for Boobly Bear. I hope food getting caught where she had the tooth pulled was a one time thing.

awww that's so lovely to hear. Well done Heidi & Raven on your beautiful & positive spirits  keep happy

Boo still not eaten any hay or drank any water

She might not be drinking as she was probably given a lot of IV fluids yesterday. So she won’t be feeling thirsty. I expect her gum is still sore hence the not eating hay. Perhaps she might eat some hand picked grass ? Sending lots more vibes for her x

A few photos. Anyone know how to swich it round so they are facing right?
First up Eddy & Boo in their carrier (you can see from his little face he's a nervy traveller)

Is a little bit of light sneezing to be expected? She isn't snotty or congested sounding but she is doing tiny sneezes since I got her home

There’s probably a more straightforward way of doing it though !

Re the sneezing. Is the sore socket on the upper jaw ? Even if there’s no snot coming out do the sneezes sound snotty ?

If shes sneezing a lot, even if the sneezes are snot free and sound ‘dry’ I’d give the vet a call for some advice. They might suggest it’d be a good idea to get her lungs listened to given that the tooth socket was probably flushed out yesterday. There’s a very small risk she might have aspirated some fluid during the procedure. This could initially present with lots of dry sneezing.

Aww, those photos. ❤️ Eddy was so brave, coming along when he doesn't like travelling. Looks like he was too late for Boo's strawberry, though 😂🥰

Before Casper started his chronic sneezing thing, he used to do little sneezes at times when he was having dental discomfort, so maybe it's related somehow? I hope it stops soon and is nothing to worry about.

No, they don't sound snotty. Ruth cleaned the socket with a cotton bud, no irrigation, so I guess thats one less worry. I'm embarassed to say I don't know if the socket is upper or lower ....think it must be upper though for those nasal strokes Frances recommended to be effective.

That feels a bit much to use a photo editing thing to switch photos around 🤣 I'm too lazy.

Ahhh, Casper did them too before his chronic sneezing started. Yeah hopefully it will stop soon (it may have stopped already- I just popped to shops & although I've only been back 30 mins she hasn't sneezed in that time)

The gas used as part of a GA might have irritated her nasal passages. Hopefully the sneezing will stop over the next 24 hours.

I hope she has stopped now. How's sweet Boo doing today?
