Mama Doe
Well I can't believe I am writing this. My darling girl, Fia, was helped to the bridge this morning after a horrible bout of stasis linked to her Megacolon condition.
I adopted Fia in November 2006 from Nicola3 who rescued her from a breeder who was going to dispose of her by breaking her neck as she was no longer any good to him. I took her on as a friend for my mini Rex Zion and after some rather uneventful bonding they became firm friends.
Ever since she was spayed she was unable to keep weight on and last year she was diagnosed with Megacolon. Fia coped with this condition impecably until the end.
She was a very special bun who touched lots of people with her gentle yet bolshy nature. It took a while for us to build a bond but once it's there, it's never gone.
I will miss her forever more but I do take comfort in the fact that I did everything I could for her at the end and I like to think she finally had the life she deserved when she found us.
Binky free beautiful girl. I shall love and miss you forever!
