Chinook

🤣
That may be true, yet probably more males sold as pets because breeders keep multiple femals to breed with their choice buck/stud.
Hopefully your girl bunnies can get the boy bunnies to toe the line.

no bonding tonight though the buns have been engaging more than usual at the gate. I had some soap orders that will need posting by wed so made sense to complete those so I can post before work tomorrow then I'll be free for bunny intercepting mid afternoon through to sleepy time Wed night. Not saying I'll last that long

Chinook did not wanna be caught tonight, took ages. She is a very clever bunny. Suprisingly i just called eddy and he followed me up the stairs and into bathroom.

I still dont enjoy this, i mean tonights mutual flops and smoothing are adorable but eddy stiĺ tense and we had fur pull too

Some bunnies are just insanely clever aren't they. Pip hides upstairs when I get home from work cos she knows it's harder for me to catch her. Luckily she started hopping into the kitchen for bonding sessions last night. Phew.
I'm glad you had mutual flops that's great progress. Does Eddy box Chinnock? And freeze if she gets near? Bumble has had 3 mouthfuls of fur so far. Each time he looks unimpressed with the fur stuck in his mouth. Lol.
You are doing amazing.

Thats v kind of you to say but i'm really not, I'm intercepting too much. Like earlier Chinook took herself to the place Eddy always hunKers down & took a great big pee....rather than see how he reacted I stroked his head & told him it was ok. I've split them now & feel guilty...I know all bonding is confusing for rabbits but dates maybe more so? I can't stay awake so couldnt 24/7 unless Eddy got a let less grumpy.

Eddy mainly eyeballs her while she's doing her thing but when they are on the move (with me following them around) & they go nose to nose theres a pause then she usually jumps out of the way but today he pulled some fur from her face...not much. It wouldnt surprise me if they boxed if I let them. I've told myself I have tomorrow to carry on intercepting & if they aren't better with face to face I will have to get braver.

The flops at the same time must be positive? There were several.

We've had no territorial wees or poops & no requests for groomies. I remember with my quad attempt rudey went straight in demanding groomies - unfortunately it peed my trio off, poor lamb

Its nice to go through the experience with someone

I watched quite a few videos where people intercept more and do stroking to calm more aggressive buns down. So definitely is a way of bonding and I think If it works for you then continue. We had what I call bucking broncos at the last meet. They get close then make a funny sqwonking noise and bounce backwards and into the air. Archie and Pip would do it sometimes over food. I've not seen anyone else describe it. Lol.
Flops at the same time is definitely positive. Pip won't lie down or eat in the bonding sessions yet.
Yes its great to have someone else to chat to. We can encourage each other through this tricky stage. We have date night tonight. We've cleamed the blanket cos he did a peep and I'm going to prepare my brain whilst at work.

But first you must catch them. I was all ready to start intercepting at noon. 2 hours later I got chinook but eddy wont play. Spending more time trying to get them in bathroom than actually in it

2hrs wow. Was there hilarious Benny Hill Music in your head as you chased them around?

They certainly are good at avoiding capture!! You must be getting lots of exercise with two bunnies to catch!

Theres no point me chasing her so its just hours of cajouling her out of her 8 tunnels. Bobs home now so rounding up should be easier. I have started feeling more and more anxious about putting them together

Why can't they just be nice & trust we've selected them a nice bunny friend. only did 90 mins yesterday cos I got scared & now I'm thinking I can get out of tonight cos its Halloween :ROFLMAO: I can't find my big girl pants anywhere

Yeah Chinook has all the tunnels. I dont have anything other than hay, forage & water - is it the same for Pip & Bumble

Thanks everyone for your support

It must be really stressful trying to bond them, I can't imagine how I'd feel, terrified probably. Yes if only they could understand its a nice thing that's being done for them, I guess it's all part of bunny rituals, daft things 😂

Yes we are also chickening out becuase it's halloween. Lol. But we do get lots of annoying teenagers playing the knock knock game here and a crazy amount of fireworks. So we will be hiding inside with the pet firework relaxing podcast on. I say have a nice off as well. You deserve it.

Yeah we only have hay and forage in the bonding pen. Oh and ourselves. Lol. We haven't put any water in yet but they have only been in for an hour, I will add that in tomorrow I think. Will have to use a cereal bowl so it's neutral.

Bumble is very interested in his reflection in thr oven and washing machine. Spends lots of time checking himself out. We've never had that with Archie and Pip. We have glass cabinets and they've ways ignored themselves, but I guess Bumble is special. 😆

:ROFLMAO: Chinook kept noticing her reflection on the bath & on the chrome around the shower.

I hope tonights session goes well. Feel the love bunnies, lose the fear❤️

Good luck if you are doing it again tonight. I hope they are getting easier to catch. I hope Chinook realised how beautiful she is.
