Warren Veteran
I don't feel as though he's as well today as he has been the past two. Again, nothing I could definitively point out, just the feeling when I saw him this morning that there was something "off" again.
Anyway, I got a call from the vet this afternoon asking how he is ahead of his procedure tomorrow. I asked questions this time that I've thought of since this was arranged on Saturday and from my research on Dr Google. So tomorrow we shall be able to see on X-rays if there are odd lumps/masses/tumours or if there is a problem with his kidneys or liver. I think it could also show if he has cancer. They're also going to do a urine sample and I'm to take in some poo from both him and Slipper so they can test for parasites. They're also sending some blood to the lab to test for infectious diseases. She's consulted a rabbit specialist who is happy with everything we're doing so far.
She said we probably won't get a diagnosis tomorrow, but it'll help to rule out/in things for further investigation. If we rule out the more common problems then he'll be referred to the specialist for less common problem investigation.
So tomorrow, I hope for two things:
1. He survives the procedure
2. It's not cancer. I can cope with anything else as its curable/manageable with medication. If it is cancer, I will lose him and soon
I take him in 10.15, the procedure is being done in the afternoon and if he survives and recovers well, I'll be able to collect him about 7/8pm. It's going to be a looooooong day. Luckily (for me, not her) Zoobec is on babysitting duty to keep me distracted
Tomorrow I'll be asking for all the vibes for him that we can muster. I love my boy and I don't want to lose him he's only 18 months old.
