• Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Bertie - dental tomorrow (13th September)

Wise Old Thumper
My wee Bertie is booked in for a dental tomorrow. He's sent me out to buy biscuits for the vet nurse as apparently there was some eyeing up of his packed lunch last time. 😂 It's just over a year since his previous dental. He's eating well, but has a few symptoms likely to be dental related so hopefully tomorrow will improve his general health. His hay eating didn't really pick up after his first dental, although he is a much better hay-eater than my previous rabbit.

I'm working tomorrow morning, but hope to have an update lunchtime or early afternoon.

I will be thinking of you Bertie bun, hope it goes well and you're soon home to some nice treats x

Bertie's dental was delayed due to an emergency but I hope to hear news soon. Thanks for the thinking about him. I have just dropped off additional supplies as he will have eaten all his favourites before the surgery.

It is good to read Bertie is eating his greens and herbs, plus a few pellets. . Sending vibes he will continue to improve and will soon be back to normal.

It is good to hear he is doing better today. Sending vibes h we continues to do well as he realizes his mouth feels better.
