Well she was showing no signs of improvement and my usual vet was unavailable so we ended up driving her an hour to a big veterinary hospital thats open 24/7. I have to say, the vet I saw was AMAZING. She was an exotics vet, really knew her stuff and even kissed Charlotte on the head to calm her And she wasnt even the rabbit specialist there :shock: SUCH a shame theyre an hour away.

Bad newsis theyve admitted her Her stomach is enlarged and they wantto do xrays and check her teeth properly. She'll be having intensive care and I feel confident shes in good hands but leaving her was heartbreaking Her sad little face watching me leave through the cage doors broke me

I'll be getting a phone call tommorrow when they know more. It'll be an agonising wait in the meantime.

We're back home now and me, OH and Max miss her terribly already We'll be sleeping in the lounge with him tonight to keep him company.

I know shes in good hands, seriously impressed with the hospital. They even had huge folders in the waiting room on rabbit care and why you should always adopt from a rescue as opposed to buying The small animal hospital us seperate from the cats and dogs, and is quiet and warm. The vet let me put Charlotte in there myself as I was crying by that point It really did help to see where I was leaving her

No news yet, but Im taking no news to be good news.

Im feeling much clearer headed after a decent nights sleep. Ive arranged to have the afternoon off if I need it to go pick her up or whatever. Its going to be a loooong morning.

Max is very restless this morning I was woken by him digging at the bedroom door trying to get in (didnt sleep with him in the end as I was desperate for a good nights sleep.) I got up and since then he has literally been at my heels wherever I am, he definatly knows somethings up Im spoiling him abit and made him his own little bowl of porridge which he sat next to me and ate while I ate mine
