Brian -U/D24th November Post 78

Back in January this year Brian had a corneal ulcer in his left eye. It resolved after 14 days treatment. Our Vets say that it cant really be related to his current problems given how long ago the ulcer was and the fact he has had no other eye problems in the months between then and now. But still.................. :?

Laura or C will be calling me at lunch time so I'll run a few things by them then.

Brian really is much happier now though, which is the main thing :)

lotsa recovery vibes for Brian and hugs for you - youre doing an amazing job...glad he is feeling a little better xxxx

Happy to read an improvement Jane.

How very very strange. Does Brian ever suffer from neurological episodes?

I'm wondering, if the panic isn't caused by the blindness, but he had an 'issue' and 'hurt himself' causing the blindness which perhaps affected the nerves, and now the nerves are returning the normal, his sight is returning too and the panic was simply because of the lack of site?

I may be way of the mark, but wanted to ask :)

No other neurological issues at all :?

I am so sorry for brian ,a similar thing happened to my dog ,she went completely blind within 24 hours and was only age 7 ,we took her to specialist but got no answers just that it sometimes happens!
She is now ten and copes quite well but it still upsets me :(,i hope brian adjusts and has a decent quality of life once the shock wears off and he adjusts xx

I am so glad to hear Brian is feeling more secure and some sight has returned. Could it be that the loss of sight happened so fast to him that he just panicked and now he has calmed down has acclimatised to his less clear vision? Please give him a nosey rub from me xxx
