Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Atticus :(

Thanks for that Mr Splaticcus, I didn’t want this chocolate biscuit anyway [emoji38]

So glad that he seems to be getting through this episode x

Yea I've just given him so more meds but he's doing so much better! Honestly last night we said that was the most pain we've ever seen him in, it's crazy how fast it can happen and out of the blue! And sometimes it's over fast whereas other times it's dragged out. Honestly he's gunna be the death of me! x

Well done Atticus and well done Graciee. Hope you've managed some sleep, and you're all feeling better soon xx

Thanks everyone, he's now producing logs, I'm wondering if they're meant to be cecos tbh. This is them next to Michaels thumb.

His gut really is a mystery to me tbh [emoji51] I'm just glad he doesn't seem to be in pain anymore, was hard seeing him like that :(

Those are some big logs, though he was able to pass them so he must feel better. Sounds like his appetite is good too with his hay eating.
Sending more vibes.

Random question, but have you ever noticed anything unusual about Atticus’s eyes ?
No... I don't think so at least [emoji51] Like what? [emoji51][emoji38]

Actually, his eyes don't look like Clementines, his are like a different shade the black bit is more pearly? But very slightly. Clementine has really different pretty eyes though..

What you thinking? [emoji51][emoji51][emoji51] Parasite of some kind?

Just that both Rabbits whom I have cared for who had symptoms like Atticus also had vey ‘glassy’ looking eyes, hard to explain. Jake in particular, who was a Caster Rex. I am wondering if Dysautonomia might be the issue. I will try to find some pics of Jake to show you what I mean.

Treatment options are no different to what your Vet has currently prescribed, ie managing symptoms.

Ah that's interesting! His eyes are more cloudy than Clementines but I wouldn't say "very cloudy" it's subtle.

Yea if you find any pictures I'd be really interested thanks :)
