Spenser Day

Wise Old Thumper
15 years ago today I brought home my first rabbit - Spenser. He was a very pompous rabbit, prone to huffs and with an ability to sulk himself into stasis - we were once greeted by the vet with 'oh here's Spenser, with another of his little episodes.' He was also a biter, not aggressively, just by way of reminding me of my place. He knew if I had bought his parsley from the wrong shop. How I loved and loved him. Spenser Milton Sparklepants - always in my heart.

I could never bring myself to put Spenser in Rainbow Bridge (I had him until October 30th 2017) but will understand if this post is moved.

❤️
The first one's always a bit special. I love the photos, seeing him grow old...what a beautiful contribution to your life. I only hope one day I'll be able to have a story like this too.
Binky free Spenser.

Sending belated condolences on the loss of your lovely Spencer. From your lively photos and memories, I understand why you are commemorating the day he came into your life.

Aw beautiful Spencer, I remember him well from when I first joined the forum ❤️ I understand about not posting in rainbow Bridge, I have all my memories of George in my head, but just thinking of writing them has me in tears every time. Sending you a big hug x

What lovely photos of Spenser ❤️I do remember his huffs. It's good to have rabbits with lots of character. Spencer and Her Ladyship would be an interesting and entertaining bunny couple

His huffs were truly epic. I used to teach a class which meant being out for 4-5 hours on Tuesday nights. Sometimes he was puddled and puffled into his huff before I left the house. I frequently returned to upturned bowls and the need to coax him by hand-feeding favoured morsels...
