Logan is ill :'( he's gone :'(

Popped to the vets to drop off some herbs and food for him, didn't get to see him but I asked how he was and they said he's brighter and calmer, his respiratory rate is coming down and it looks like he's responding well to antibiotics

So fingers crossed he continues responding, poor thing must be so confused he just came to live in his forever home 5 days ago and now he's been sent to a scary place with no one he knows when he's feeling his worst

I know it's important for him to be there, I miss his cheeky little face already!

This has come at the WORST timing... firstly Lilly and him were half way through their bonding... going to have to start from scratch AGAIN on top of that, I insured him on Saturday (got him Friday) but you can't claim for most things in the first 2 weeks!!! I will still put in a claim but I don't expect to get any pay out

Vets called, not more acute episodes of coughing and choking, his breathing is still a bit laboured but that's expected with such a bad infection, he's staying in for the rest of the day at least, hopefully coming home this evening

I'm so confused that he could have such a horrendous infection and I didn't notice rabbits hide things so well

I have absolutely no idea I'm going to have to start over completely. I really don't want to have to fully separate them, but I know I might have too for a while I'll put them in the 4x2 foot pen when he's home and hopefully things will be fine, neither have ever been aggressive so fingers crossed things will be ok

I'm picking him up after 6 because he's due more meds at 6, I feel like I've failed him even though I know it was nothing I did I'm looking forwards to getting his fuzzy little face back home

You have not failed him.

You took him to the vet as soon as you noticed something wrong. You have probably saved him!
He's lucky to have you caring so much about him.

I think after Harvey dying suddenly a few weeks ago, Logan suddenly being ill really has hit me and even though logically I know both of their illnesses weren't my fault and they have both gotten veterinary attention asap, I still feel guilty can't wait to pick him up and get cuddles with him and make him feel better. Lilly is being so antisocial with me, in all fairness I was at work during her "social" hours :lol: she does look cute sleeping

It's understandable but you've done your best by both Logan and Harvey. Some things are beyond our control but you did everything that you could for Harvey, and you're doing the same for Logan. Nobody can expect, or ask more than that!

Poor Lilly is probably wondering what is going on, hopefully she'll perk up when Logan comes home later
