Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Harvey having emergency operation! (50/50 chance)

Hi everyone,

Thank you so much for your comments,

Well it's stil very early days, but Harveys temperature has remained normal since 4pm yesterday, and he's now down to 38 which is a relief!! He has also nibbled a tiny bit and actually eaten 2 little pieces of kale!! :)

His stomach drains also haven't produced any liquid at all over night which again is a good sign and his wound remains clean. So they are going to keep them in for another 24 hours and still no liquid these will be able to come out!

Unfortunately He still has bad diarhoria, and still goes through periods of being bright & quiet again! So at the moment, he is stable and we have just got to give him time. After speaking to the vet this morning, it's the same one who admitted Harvey initially and he can't believe how much he has been through and how's he fighting..

Thank you for all your ongoing support guys and touch wood he will continue to remain stable and keep going xxx

You can see Harvey is trying really hard .. He's being terribly brave!

I hope all that food is building him up :D

I know bless him, he really is trying and I couldn't be prouder

I just hope he starts having some luck!

To be fair I wouldn't really say he's adding that much weight on, he went up from 1.9 to 2.1 over the last 24 hours but then through the night lost 5grams. Which I know isn't much and could possibly just be poo. But He is due to be weighed again shortly with his next meds so we'll see if he has gained anymore since! Xx

Hi Harvey, you haven't lost your cheeky look yet boy, it's still there in your eyes bless you  hope you feel lots better soon little man xxxxx

Such a little sweetie

Come on little guy, keep fighting, you can do it.

Continued love and vibes being sent xxx
