She LOVES hay, and has piles of it, but she just loves my hardwood too, so I'm hoping it being semi-hard would give kinda the same effect but without the pain. Mine wouldn't really chew on the crystals, but I will keep that in mind. She used to have a tunnel, but she didn't care for it much. I'm also not old enough to drive or live in the ukIt's cute, but will probably get wrecked - chewed, used as a toilet, etc. The gems are also an issue if they are eaten. It's not something I would personally consider suitable for a rabbit. Mine would certainly not respect it. I know mine would prefer a mound of hay, a bowl of forage and a box to sit in / on. Or a tunnel (look at cat tunnels for the right size).
Deep hay is good for rex feet. If you have a local horse supply barn, you can get good quality hay by the bale. It's about £8 a bale around here. A bale fits on the back seat of a car (placed in an old duvet cover to prevent mess) and stores in a spare wheely bin in a shady spot outside.
I don't think you quite get what I'm sayingThere are other options for flooring - which is where she will be sending most of her time.
Inspector Morse / Jack's-Jane is the expert on Rex sore hocks. Maybe look at some of her old posts for advice / ideas.
Rabbits are no respecters of special furniture. I would be wary of getting something you can't really afford because you like it but your rabbit will ignore or trash it - or worse - ingest some bits and end up at the vet.
She had plenty of toysChew toys made out of eg woven willows usually go down well. You could even make your own.
Or just spare small plastic plant pots that can be thrown around or you can hide treats in.
Because she likes to lie on my couch and hardwood, but the only way to my couch is to walk on the hardwood floors, and unfortunately, she is a rex. So she has sore hocks from me letting her do this, but she still loves to lay in those two spots. I don't want to take that away from her, so I want to get her her own couch so that she can safely have a place similar, and it won't be really soft so it may kinda help with the hardwood part. I think I'm probably go to put a bunch of packing tape on the bottom so that she doesn't want to bite at it for a few weeks until she's used to itShimmer has made some good points. It's my view also that your rabbit would be curious and would likely try small nibbles from the fabric that this is constructed from. If she did this, then there is a high possibility that it would cause an obstruction.
If you want something for her to sit or lie on, why not look for something made of rabbit-safe wood, so that any nibble would be harmless?
Murphy attacked and devoured the one on my link, got it from amazon. I was sat at work and my pet cam on my phone was set on loud and all i and my colleague could hear was him chomping away@catbalou, Yes! I love this idea! There was someone on Etsy selling them, but she stopped. Do you know anyone else who sells safe ones?
We have tried the mat method, but she'll either leave the mat, or hop on the couch and after a bit decide she wants to hop down and lay on the floor insteadHave you considered an extra large yoga mat to cover the hardwood flooring where she hops to your couch? This might cushion the floor enough for her hocks. Also, a fatigue floor mat might do the trick too.
Also, I've found some bunny-friendly alternatives to the couch if you're interested, since Shimmer and Omi suggested your bun might destroy the kid couch.

How about a home solution? There are plenty of crocheted cat couches you can buy or, if you're feeling brave and adventurous, why not buy a digital pattern and try it? I crochet, so I know it's a big project to take on but it just might be worth it. One worry though, I'm not sure about rabbits and yarn.
I had so much fun shopping for all this stuff, lol. Even though I probably won't buy any of this myself, I just love looking at these cute rabbit things.![]()
Real lolThat's going into my list. Now all I have to do is wait for nine more months![]()
