Cobnut tree roots?

We have a cobnut tree in our back garden and yesterday whilst digging to lay concrete around the base of it we pulled up quite a number of little roots - would these be OK to give the bunnies?

I guess they would be as Cobnut leaves and twigs are fine but i'm paranoid that I'll give them something that will poison them
