I used to love reading about her antics on here and she was one of my favourites

Thank you, I have so many special memories of her and she was such a character, I really hope the end wasn't nasty for her, she just started mouth breathing about 9pm on the Tuesday night it was horrible, she hadn't any problems ever with her breathing. We rushed her up the vets straight away, they said she had fluid on her lungs, they put her on oxygen and meds, the vet said she did improve, but stuff suddenly come out of her nose and mouth and she died :cry::cry::cry::cry:. He thinks she had a tumour/abscess that burst which is why it all happened so quick.

Bryn said when they rushed her off for oxygen she was holding on to me and she didn't want to go (I can't remember I was too upset) but they snatched her away so quick I never got to tell her not to be scared and give her a love :cry::cry::cry::cry: she didn't die until just before 5 the next morning, I wish I had asked to see her again, what was I thinking :cry::cry::cry:, I just thought the more stuff they could do for her without me in the way would give her the best chance, I got that so wrong. :cry:
 
I'm so sorry for your lost, Beatrix must have been a wonderfull bunny. We talked about her on a Dutch rabbitforum, after the show was broadcasted here. She was a famous bunny!!

Yes, I remember her very fondly as one of "Britain's worst pets", but she always seemed to me to have a lovely personality.
Thinking of you at this sad time.
 
I just looked at the You tube film again. Her face when she was in the "time out zone" said it all and, almost, WTF am I sitting in here for :)
Beatrix was chief and no vets or animal "experts" were going to alter that. A small gorgeous bun who managed to outsmart everyone.

She didn't need you to tell her that you loved her Tree and she would have known because of all the years she was your baby and told you what to do.

Whatever you had done you would have regretted it.If you had been with her you would have blamed yourself for being in the way-I know I did when Holly & Will died.:cry:
 
binky free little one, i saw the link he looked like a real character a bit like my poppy but you love them for it :love:

Was there any previous symptoms at all?

As to what you said in the 2nd paragraph, we've all been thru that kind of soul searching before. I said that kind of things to myself after Bernie passed away.
