  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Teary eye and dental problems =(

Lovely update! How nice that your mom got dandelions for your buns! It is such a good feeling when our loved ones love our furries too.
You are right to not stress about potential future impact of tooth roots, and to celebrate the victories of today-good blood work, success with dental, and eye tearing that stopped with meds.
Sending vibes you all have a lovely night.

I really appreciate all your kind words. Thank you so much everyone. Casper's eating just fine today. He wasn't eating pellets yet this morning, but he's eating them now.

Does stress negatively impact on your M.E.? If so now Casper has done so well we can hope for everyone in your little family to be feeling better soon
Yes, stress definitely makes it worse, so it wasn't good to worry about Casper on top of already feeling bad. I had to go to the hospital on Monday for some bloodwork, which cost a huge amount of energy, so I'll be recovering for quite a while anyway, but it really helps that Casper is fine and there's nothing to worry about right now, so I can just focus on resting and taking care of them.
