Poop Health

Hello to everyone,
Cookie is 7 months old, will be 8 months old soon. Cookie is pooping, everything is normal up to this point.

But there is a situation. Cookie's poop is sometimes too big, sometimes too small. He poops very big 1-3 times every day. But sometimes I come across much smaller poop than usual. But the amount, color and consistency of pooping is normal. He just doesn't always have the same size of poop during the day. Do you think Cookie has an intestinal problem? I got a little worried when I saw the intestinal problems in rabbits.

Yes, I was obsessed with poop. Rabbit owners should be licensed; pooplogist.

With my current and past bunnies ,I may qualify as doctor of poopology.
Jane gave you good information. As long as Cookie continues to eat, drink, pee and poo unless his poo is consistently smaller than usual.
May you enjoy Cookie for many years.

Amin, amin. Thanks. I am really relieved. :)

Hello to everyone,
I want to ask you all a question about this subject again. My bunny is normally pooping 95 percent balls, it has a good consistency and it has pieces of straw in it.

But I see 1-2 big poo in his litter box every day. This poop is so big and soft. Am I making a mistake in his diet? Is it normal for him to poop 1-2 times a day? I want you to see the picture and comment. I will only relax like this. I will not be able to relax unless you see the picture.
I am adding the pictures.

Large and soft poop:

Does he eat much hay? Even his normal poop doesn't look like my lots tbh [emoji51]

Those dark big ones, I might be wrong but could they be unformed cecotrophes? Atticus my boy bun with all the gut issues produces those :/

Frankly I don't know exactly. But I think his might have misshapen secotropic poop. But I am not sure. He makes 1-2 poo every day like this, is this normal? :|

I don't think it's "normal".. Wait for Jane and others who know more about this, but my healthy 2 never produce anything like this, they produce big golden balls of poop(sometimes they're darker if they've had forage but still the same size) and then I never see cecotrophes because they're eaten directly..

I've got 2 other buns and one of them has megacolon which makes him produce stuff like you pictured, but also huge splats of poop (its really lovely isn't it [emoji38]) along with golden balls of poop.

I'd make sure Cookie is eating enough hay, that should be most of his diet everything else should be quite minimal tbh.

There's a guide online for this, lemme have look

This topic makes me nervous. :| Could it be a megacolon? Or is it unhealthy secotropic poop? :| I hope they see and answer. :|

Don't panic! He's still pooping and eating, which is brilliant!

I'm just wondering if making some changes to his diet may improve things :) what exactly is his diet? What sort of hay does he get? Does he like hay?

This has a look of pictures and explanations, does it kinda look like Cecal Dysbiosis image?

Or like the soft poop picture on this link below?

https://www.theeducatedrabbit.com/rabbit-poop.html

No, doesn't look like cecal dysbiosis. It's all a whole poop, no grains of sticky poop. It's all a poop. Like thick little sausage poop.

He eats hay and loves. But he just eats fescue/meadow hay. Timothy hay is not sold in Turkey(because timothy does not grow in Turkey). Normally I was giving him a mix pack of food because he loves it. But now I've made the decision to quit altogether. I started to cut slowly over a 4-week period. Will my rabbit be affected badly when I cut off the ready-mix food at once?

I'd slowly reduce the mix food til you aren't giving it anymore, he'll be okay without it I think. I don't feed rabbit food to any of mine. Does he have anything else in his diet like vegetables, herbs or forage?

Do you know how much hay he roughly eats in a 24 hour period? They're meant to eat about the size of themselves in hay iirc, mine eat more than that, but I think it's roughly meant to be their body size of hay eaten.
