  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

my bunny just randomly stoped pooping

So after 1 day of getting my rabbits i startet letting them out n the lawn but one problem is that they eat a lot and i mean alot of grass and they arent peeing or pooping like barley sometimes they do but normally they dont and ive heard that rabbits can poop almost 300 times a day which probably is true bc mine did poop alot when i first got them but they arent drinking water but they do still eat pellet but not alot someone help me im new and i really dont know if i have to take him to the vet plz hepl guys!!!

If a Rabbit stops passing poo it is ALWAYS necessary to seek PROMPT Veterinary attention. Even if the Rabbit istill appears to be eating. Rabbits who eat a lot of grass and fresh veg etc drink less than those fed a mostly dry diet. If the Rabbits have not been used to eating a lot of grass it’s important to introduce them to doing so gradually or bloat can occur. Especially if the Rabbits are babies.
