Alibunmum
Wise Old Thumper
Oliver, a new foster bun, arrived at half five yesterday. He was abandoned on a doorstep with nails which were crazily long and his long haired coat totally matted. He is a poor wee soul and seems quite depressed but is a good weight.
I took him to the vet this morning and he was given a good look over. We decided that he would come in for neutering on Monday and have his entire coat shaved under anaesthetic. I had cleaned his crate before going so it was easy to notice that, by 2 o'clock he had not done any droppings or urinated. I got an appt at the vet for 2.50 and he got another good look over. I was shown how to syringe feed him and have done this at two hour intervals since we got home. There are now many droppings in his crate so I hope we have avoided anything more serious. :|
I hope that by morning he will be nibbling himself and be on his way to a full recovery. Any suggestions to help him recover would be gratefully received.
