Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Idk if its something I'm doing wrong or what.. But she's being unwell just like Atticus - it's not as often or as much, Atticus is every day all day, sometimes Clementine has one or two every few days.

I'd guess they're unformed cecotrophs with no consistency what so ever. Her diet is and has been just hay for the last 2 weeks, I gave up on veg as it seemed to make it worse, I was just feeding a few bits of dill in the end, and she'd be fine for days then suddenly unwell.. But now that's happening just when eating hay..?

Her normal poops vary day to day, one day they're small and dark then next big and golden, she's getting through the same, normal amount of hay per day though..

Not really sure what to do :( I could try giving her some of the pellets Atticus has, the pro fibre ones, but I doubt she'd eat them, plus she really doesn't need pellets [emoji51]

Anyone got any ideas? Coz I'm seriously stumped and I feel like I'll be back here asking about the white buns having the same issue at this rate [emoji38][emoji849] Atticus and Clementine are siblings so Idk if there's a genetic link ofc.

Is Clementine rather.....ermmmmmm.....'Voluptuous' ?

Overweight Rabbits can have GI tract problems including gut motility problems. This can present as episodes of gut stasis, unformed cecotrophs, brown watery yuck with fecal poo etc.

Oh yea, she doesn't like to admit it, but she's "a little on the large size" [emoji38]

Thing is tho, she's been much bigger, we're down to around 4kg now. Her ideal is 3.6kg I think personally (Atticus was the tidiest one and he's 3kg) and Clementine is a much larger bun than him.

Also vet said last time she wasn't actually overweight body wise it was just her dewlap...and that losing more weight wouldn't change her dewlap. Now I'm not sure I agree, but he's the rabbit specialist so I'm not really in a position to comment [emoji38]

Its just bugging me that it's come out of nowhere?! When she's been doing so well too! I can't seem to get her to shift the weight completely, so Idk what to do tbh.

Did you have to change hay when you had your flood? Could that have upset her?
Unfortunately this was happening before that saga last Sunday [emoji51] so it's not that I don't think! Plus her hay hasn't changed, she didn't get any fresh for over a day (still had loads, we give them more than they could ever eat tbh) so that was the only change really for the buns.
