  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Atticus and Clementine stasis.

Sorry I should've been clear, I meant for a rabbit to ingest [emoji38][emoji38][emoji38]

I like cooked broccoli [emoji38]

you mean for bunnies?
Yea, there was an incident with Atticus, I thought I'd shut them out but he got through the door, it doesn't always shut very well, and Evelyn threw some steamed broccoli and he ran over to it before I could grab it, I then chased him but Idk if he might have eaten a little bit :(

I think it might be a problem for Atticus because of his issues, but probably no more so than uncooked Broccoli. I wouldn't be concerned if it were Tui.

Thanks both, he's already in a bad way before the broccoli, he's not been well the last few days on and off, I've just given him more painkillers, he just passed a poop but squeaked :(

Oh, I'm sorry he's already not been feeling well, and now he ate something unusual... :( I hope he'll start to feel better soon. Poor Atticus. :(

Oh Atticus  Yeah, if it was a 'generic' bunny I'd say it was fine, i.e. don't feed but no worry if they snaffle a bit, but yeah, Atticus... Hope he gets better soon xx

Oh no poor silly boy!

Fingers crossed it doesn't upset his stomach any more and he recovers quickly x

Cooked should be easier to digest than raw. Sorry Atticus is having another bout of illness. Sending healing vibes.

Thanks everyone. Yeaa he's been weird and on and off food and being really ill for days now, Idk what's going on tbh, his stomach is nice a squishy but he's laying out uncomfortably lots and flopping (the bad kind). Normally it means he needs to pass something but Idk this time and now we've got broccoli added to the mix [emoji849]

I'm hoping these painkillers help :( was horrible watching him squeak whilst passing something :(
