• Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Raven very ill- update He is Gone

bunny momma

Wise Old Thumper
My shiny black nethie is very ill. I may be losing him.
Spouse got his new antibiotic Monday night after he left me at the hospital. Spouse loaded his syringe and gave him the new abx and his medicam. He also gave Raven sub q fluids. per my oral instructions over the phone, and did his best to give Raven syringe feeds.
Tonight I managed to get up13 stairs in spite of my knee surgery and I saw how poorly my ljttle Raven is tonight. He is comfortable, yet he is lying on his side next to my heart. He may not make it through the night, but at least he knows he is loved. Raven is enjoying my warmth as I cuddle him and tell him how much he is loved by his human and bunny fami!y. ❤💔.

Oh, I'm so, so incredibly sorry to read this, bunny momma... You just keep cuddling him and letting him know how loved he is. I'm glad he's comfortable, at least. I'm sending him all the vibes and hope very, very much that he'll make it through the night. I'm sending so many hugs for you as well. ❤️❤️❤️

I am so saddened to hear this 😢 If now is his time then may he pass peacefully. Sending you many hugs x ❤️😢❤️

Raven is lying very peacefully next to my heart. I am glad I pushed myself to go upstairs to be with him.

Really sorry to hear this, how lovely to be able to cuddle with him though. Thinking of you both xx

Raven is resting next to my heart. He is comfortable and is getting care to keep him comfortable only. He spent the day getting cuddles and pets from me and spouse,

Oh bunny momma, I'm so sad to hear this. I really hope this is not his time, but if it is I pray for peace and comfort for you both. 😥😥😥
