  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Nose nudging, what does it mean?

yes they are!! it really amazes me all their little quirks, even John is softening to him, he rustled a bit of paper last night and every time he did it Cobey did a wee run and binky

Glad he is so happy now. Sooty noses me when he wants me to move and Lolly does it when she wants attention. Guess you just learn what they mean to each individual. Maybe he is seeing what you do or how you move when he touches you?

Just ignore him because reaching out will prob set him back a few steps by scaring him. Let him poke around a bit until he is totally comfortable around you

Thats what I am letting him do for now, frustrating as it is, but it has been so quick for him to trust enough to binky and race around that I think he should get used to us soon, I am trying to not have to make him go back to his cage either and just wait till he goes in to shut him in at night...not always easy though
