• Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Brain Parasite :(

Oh I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope you can take some comfort knowing he was with you and he felt safe.

Binky free Sid xx

I am so sorry that you've had to say goodbye to your bunny. :( ((((Hugs)))))
Sleep well and sweet dreams, Sid. xxxx

Thank you all for your kind words, really means a lot, It's still very hard going in to see my other babies and not seeing his little face :( I tear up every time I pop in their enclosure to see them and make sure they're OK, I've complained to the rspca as if they'd clipped his front teeth two weeks ago when I took him in he mightve had a better chance of survival but they did nothing, didn't offer any advice or treatment or even telling me about oxbow! The private vets were so shocked they had done nothing considering his condition and told me to report it seeing as they're an animal charity and they willingly let me walk out their clinic without any help and knowing without his teeth trimmed he'd pass :( I had £50 saved up (plus £100 my mum was going to put in) for Sids treatment but as he passed I decided to spend the £50 i had saved on his brothers and sisters, so i went to pets at home and spent It all on chew toys, tubes, balls and treats - I know they miss him as much as me, I see them laying where he used to sleep and little Lulu used to cuddle with him, she's been quite down the last day, I'm just making sure they all get lots of cuddles, tickles and attention.

Sharpie I'm so sorry, what a heartbreaking situation for you :(

Will you stay with us, and post about your other rabbits when you have time and energy?

Sending hugs xx

Yeh I will definitely post about my other babies :) It's nice to have people who understand the worries of owning fluff babies and not have people jumping to conclusions and calling you an animal abuser because they don't understand completely :) xx
