  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Vibes needed to Tallulah today please

Thanks for asking - I've been wondering the same thing too. Both are happily eating hay, drinking well, munching away on dried and fresh forage and run for their daily crunchie - but pellets seem to be off the menu. It is the last of the bag, but we've shaken off any dust.

As a precaution, I've opened the new bag today, they're on excel pellets for junior / dwarf - see what happens !

Yes it would be good to see whether they are interested in the new bag. I know sometimes there can be mycotoxins in food, as there can be in hay (and straw) so it's worth a try.

Glad they are both happily munching! After the poo report, we always like the 'eating' report

Update - still not sure what's going on

Thanks, everyone for help and advice. Tallulah seems back to her normal self, pinching Bugsy's crunchie out of his mouth and ignoring her own - but they are still both ignoring the pellets.

Today, we opened a new, fresh bag in case the older one was a bit stale or dusty but its still being ignored. They are happily munching hay, dried and fresh forage and drinking well - how concerned should I be?
