Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Vibes for Gypsy Please / Update He's died in Mikes arms :-(

Tuckerbunnies

Wise Old Thumper
Gypsy our 9 year old lionhead went for a dental today and had a heart attack and died on the table but our vet
brought him back and he is now back at home with us but not fully come round yet but is alert as his ears go
when we say his name.
We are staying up throughtout the night to check him every 15 minutes as we are a little bit worried about him
after what has happened to him today.

Please can we have some Vibes for our special boy as he is the oldest of all our buns and has been with us
the longest and he's very much loved.

Thank You xx

Update 10:37 am

Well Gypsy has made it through the night he's still very much out of it, Mike has given him some water this morning
and we are hoping for some improvement as the day goes on.

Gypsy has always been full of life he is 9 years old going on 2 he usually is never still and that's why we named him
Gypsy as he never stays in one place long.

Mike has checked him throughout the night and each time he went to check him Parsley ( Gypsy's lady ) was very
protective of him and actually went for Mike twice when Mike went to stroke Gypsy and she has never ever done that before.
