Hello there my furry friend you've reached your destiny
You've lived on earth for many years now you have come to me,
Your best friend you've left on the earth now has a troubled heart
Because my little furry friend with you she's had to part,
Her days and nights are lonely without you by her side
She's prayed, she's cursed, she's angry and a million tears she's cried,
It is hard for her to see beyond her broken heart
That although she cannot see you, you're really not apart,
You're there beside her every day and you watch over her at night
And you'll be together one day, when the time is right,
She nourished you with love and care all your earthly years
Now her heart is filled with pain and her eyes are full of tears,
She didn't want to lose you and prayed but all in vain
I could not leave you on the earth and make you well again,
This is how life's meant to be and when your life is through
You all come up to Rainbow Bridge so that I can comfort you,
And I can see my furry friend that you are in great pain
So let me take you in my arms and make you well again,
I'll give to you another life at Rainbow Bridge with me
You will have so many friends and of pain you will be free,
I wish that your best friend on earth could look up here and see
The one she loved so deeply is playing happily,
Then she'll no longer question me and she would know for sure
That when her time on earth is through she'll be with you once more.
