Found a lump on Timmy/ Blood results post 94 not good news

Timmy is having his blood test and check up first thing in the morning. I really hope he behaves himself, this week has been stressful enough already

We are also taking Jim with us as his breathing is terrible. We know the chances are he is terminally ill, but it seems his owner has been completely honest about his previous treatment :(

Is Jim Pickle? Sorry if I'm being really dim
Hope everything goes well for you tomorrow....maybe instead of a coat you should knit Timmy a straight-jacket to avoid any more incidents.

I missed this thread earlier. Hope Timmy will be ok at the vets tomorrow and his lump will turn out to be something other than an abscess.

Timmy in his little coat is the cutest thing ever

Not good news for Timmy :cry:

The lump is an abscess  But on top of that the vet thinks there is a problem with his chest, it hasn't been right since the last blood test attempt. He is also loosing weight despite eating like a horse  I knew he was as I can feel every vertebrae in his back now and his hips are really prominent.

He still hasn't had bloods taken as he is going in next wednesday for a GA to have his lungs x-rayed and abscess seen to, so bloods will be taken then.

I just hope he will get through all the tests at the moment and we will worry about the results afterwards.

I can see he is a really poorly bunny, but at least he doesn't know it and is still able to live life to the full

We had bad news about Jim (pickle) this morning too

And Rita our piggy was also pts

And its now even 10am yet

Oh no Liz...does it never end!

Hope Timmy gets through GA ok next week, at least he is happy in himself.

What was the news about Jim :(

.

What was the news about Jim :(

Jim was never seen by a specialist referral vet. What happened is the owner saw one vet and then moved to another normal vet. The second vet prescribed baytril and and metacam. the baytril was given but the metacam was never collected. That is all the treatment he has had.

My vet thinks it is very unlikely that he has any type of infection as there are no symptoms of one :? She also agrees with me that if he had abscesses on his lungs he would be dead.

She thinks it is more likely that he has a tumour :( He is going in for an x-ray with Timmy next wednesday. It will have to be conscious as any GA will kill him, but we need to know what is going on with him.

We will be looking into remortgaging the house at the weekend :lol::lol:

I dunno what to say really, but I hope the tests go well and you get some good news soon xx

  Poor Jim, really hope he has some quality time left, they are such a lovely couple

And your poor bank balance!

Oh no, poor wee boy.
Well i hope he manages to still enjoy himself.
He really is one special wee man x

I find this so sad. If only she had said something sooner, or told me that, i could have at least had him on metacam and had x rays to know his real condition

Oh my, I just don't know how you do it and keep going. Timmy is a really lucky bunny to have found you and its good that he's not aware of how poorly he really is. You are a really special family, you and all your wonderful bunnies

I'm so sorry. What a sucky start to the day.

I do agree that you are an amazing family and that every single animal you have is so lucky to have such wonderful care.

I hope Timmy and Jim stay happy and keep fighting.

Keep us updated.
