  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Flopsy has had x-ray, tests...*UPDATE 11/05 (test results back)

Aww I woulda been lost without my insurance I hope everything turns out ok come on flopsy get better

hope you manage to get him sorted poor bunny....i know its not much but when my bluebell doesnt want to eat I get her dandilion leaves...they seem to be the only thing she will eat when she's not feeling well.

When bluebell was spayed it took her days to recover and I was worried as she seemed not herself at all. Rabbits do sometimes struggle to recover from surgery and it is very frightening when they refuse to eat and just sit there in pain....it's horrible. Really hope you get him sorted and feeling better xxx

Would some sort of probiotic, like fibreplex or Pro Fibre pellets maybe help his tummy?

:censored: Old vets.
Your mum is wonderful to take them to a specialist. Now he can get the care he needs. Sending lots of vibes.

If he has long tooth roots this is what Grim has and sometimes it's too painful for him to eat hard food. I feed him softened pellets and oats soaked in water. He loves the oats.
