Please Note - Medical Advice
Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.
You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.
We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.
Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.
i wonder if his sides are sucked in as a result of spasms in his GI tract? Good to hear he is doing better & getting loves from Clementine. Its so good you persisted with getting them rebonded, it must be a huge comfort to him when he's having his poorly episodes

Bless him you are doing the best you can for him. Sending lots more vibes and hugs xx
Ah that's interesting!I was just thinking the same. Frosty used to spasm after gut meds post dental and it was similar.
Glad he is more comfortable. It is hard to know if he needs time for food to move through his gi system or if it slowed down again. Continuing gut meds sounds good to me.Thanks everyone he's still eating and has been okay overnight, seems way more comfortable tbh. But there's been no more output, not sure if I should be worried about that or not really, I mean he produced a load about 1 am. Think I'll give some more meds on an hour or so if still nothing, probably just the gut ones too keep things moving. But he's not in visible pain now or doing his uncomfortable shifting and kicking out he always does anymore so I know he feels a lot better he really is a tough bunny! x
Eta, his sides are still sucked in tho
