  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Kitten has only been with me since yesterday and this morning i got her out to have a really good check of her turned her over and she had a huge (50p size) lump of poop stuck on her bottom which wouldnt budge after a gentle wash it did move, and she has been for a normal poop since. But wasnt very nice for either of us hopefully it wont be a regular occurance but will keep a close check on her, the food bowl she came with has huge and they were givving abowl fulll and restricting her hay as she was eating a lot of it so have swopped that round so fingers crossed the extra hay and less nuggets will help!

For those those who were concerned kitten was cramped this is her play area just hadnt taken any pics then, shes been out since 7 this morning and i will put her back in before bed ;) and eventually when we get her tummy straight she can have the whole garden

Also as i need kitten to lose weight as im sure she is having trouble getting clean herself she is very chubby, i have reduced her nuggets but is it ok to give her as much hay as she wants?

oh good because she is always munching a piece of hay! shes called kitten because when she was tiny she was admited to the vetts nameless and they just very simply put the kitten and the ladys suraname but i like it and think i will keep it x although trying to explain to the nephews we have arbbits called kitten wasnt easy

and excuse my grass we had a dog, Missy that we lost a month ago hence the bald pee wee spots that i am slowly filling in x
