The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Calcium deficiency/ Kidney problems

Hi
Hope someone can give me an idea of what to expect now...

It is looking like Max has a calcium deficiency. He was leaking urine and that was the only sign of a problem.

It looks like his bones are not as strong as they should be (he was Xrayed today).

Having bloods done for kidney function.

I have had Max 14 months (took him off someone who did not want him anymore when he was 14 months old). So he is now 2 and a half.

I have fed Max on Excel, unlimited hay and fresh foods 3-4 times a week.

Could his diet with his previous owner be the cause of the problem or is it something that I have done ????????

Also he has never really been a healthy bun.... He is always the one at the vets

Any ideas please...

Hi
Thanks

Yes he was on a museli type mix when I took him on.

Think we are looking at long term problems with him unfortunatly.
