When is bonding complete?

Hi!
I'm new to both this forum and bunny bonding.
I've done some research and currently have my two bunnies muffin and dumbledore in side by side pens where they can sniff and see one another.
Yesterday I had then out in a neutral room for 4 hours, no aggression just a lot of humping from dumbledore! There was some running away from muffin when she got fed up of being humped but no aggression.
But they ate together, led down together, and groomed themselves but not eachother.
My question is what other signs am I looking for to know they are truly bonded?
Thanks!

The signs you should be looking for are all those you have mentioned, but they need to be sustained over a longer period of time. If you are able to observe them 24/7 for a few days, then I would leave them together in the neutral area and watch how they are together. There should be absolutely no aggression. Running and chasing are usually part of the bonding process, which is fine.

After several days without any issues, you could enlarge their space, before allowing them to be in their final accommodation together. They do need to be monitored at each stage for any negative behaviours.

It does sound very positive with your two and so hopefully their bond will develop more deeply in time.

One is 2 male neutered, the other is 4 female neutered.
Last night they had another bonding session they were cuddled up together grooming, no humping.
All positives signs, problem is I'm not able to set up a permanent space in a neutral space I can only do temporary.

Thanks for your reply. From what you have said it sounds very positive and if they are cuddling up I would have no worries about allowing them to be together full-time. Some bonds are very easy. Which breeds are they?

I currently have them in my room with them free roaming and they have been cuddling up together for the past 20 minutes no problem.
Muffin is a rex and dumbledore is a lop/lionhead.
