Toilet training! Bad habits

Good morning. Hoping someone may be able to help. I’m an experienced bunny owner but I have let my boy, Bugsy, get into bad habits and I need help. He has a hutch and litter tray in a small downstairs room which we use as an office and he’s pooing all over the place (he does a lot in his tray and all his wees in his hutch/tray.
He comes in for snuggles at night and never pooed in our living room but since we got our new carpet he’s so naughty and we have to put blankets down as he goes everywhere (contained on the blankets)
I need to get a grip of this situation! Could anyone help?

All bunnies tend to leave a few poos around as scent markers. If you've replaced your carpet this is probably just his way of saying this is my carpet! If it's just poos I'd be inclined to leave him to get on with it for a bit until he's used to the new carpet and just hoover up the poos once a day or so.
