Today they are off... *terrible news, urgent advice needed please*

Thank you. He's just eaten a tiny slice of carrot and i think a few nibbles of hay too. He had a poo a bit before that, so I assume that means his gut is working? He didn't want grass or pellets, but il try again in a bit. I'm wary of giving him too much in case it upsets him. He's fine with my other boy, but is staying out of the girl's way now.

The syringe of fibreplex says its for gut health/to keep the gut moving, so if I can do it without stressing him then ill do it in a bit. I've sent my husband for some fiba first too as I've heard some buns really love it. Some extra snuggle safes too so if rebel stays away from the other two tonight there are plenty of warm spots.

My own vet is rabbit savvy, but they use an emergency service out of hours, who frankly, are useless with rabbits so if I need them I'm not sure how much use they'll be. :(

I'm so sorry . Despite the very best intentions, sometimes things don't work out. This is a very sad outcome and one which could never have been foreseen.

I'm so very sorry  I'm afraid I don't have any advice, just wanted to say how sorry I am. Sending hugs xx

Eta I just posted a post in health for you with a link to your post here asking for help for you, I think lots more people visit health xx

Thank you so much for doing that, it's lovely of you.

Poor Rebel hes really had a rough old time of it.

My lot like fresh herbs and fresh grass. Might be worth trying them for him. When mine are off colour I give them anything and everything just to see if I can tempt them back to eating. Maybe some pellets or a bit of mushed banana.

Oh don't they just know how to worry us.

So sorry for your loss of your little female, hopefully Rebel will become friends with your other pair. My trio is 2 males and one very bossy female, they all live in harmony (on her terms:lol:)

Thank you. I've now text the lady from the rescue for advice. They use the vet school for the rescue and I'm wondering if they will be open for emergencies if I do need the vet.

Jacks-Jane, yes, it is Dash the black girl who passed away.

Madcatwoman, I have never tried banana before, perhaps that would work.

I feel sick, I'm so worried.

I thought so, she didn't look 'right' in the photos

I expect Rebel is very stressed. As he has poo'd and nibbled at some food I'd be inclined to just monitor him carefully without too much 'hands on care'.

Glad to hear he has had a little nibble.

The vet school near Edinburgh will take emergencies out of hours, so I would think the one you are talking of will, unless of course you are talking about the same one.

i am so so sorry to hear this..

I understand the Royal D1ck Vet School is open for emergencies. if this is the one they use..

Binky Free Dash....

fee xxxx

Oh how very sad. RIP Dash. I do hope Rebel starts to eat. I found bramble leaves very helpful the first time Frosty went off his food (2nd time involved an out of hours vet visit ... ).

I hope the trio continues to go well.

Thank you for all the kind and thoughtful replies. It does mean a lot, most people just don't understand why it's so worrying. A friend said earlier that he would probably start eating again now he's home and didn't understand that he simply couldn't have gone all week not eating and I wish it was that simple. He was eating fine all week,so. It must be the loss of Dash and thent three go car journey home etc. :( I spoke to the lady at the rescue and she was really helpful. She and her husband had seen rebel eating this morning, so was definitely eating there. He's now had a small nibble on some apple and broccoli. I haven't seen him eating hay yet, but I'm only looking out every 15 mins or so and not constantly. So he might be nibbling hay too. His belly feels soft, not hard at all.

He has been in the Wendy house a bit, but is spending most of his time time outside in the run on the patio, so I'm worried about him getting cold. I guess I could cover it with loads of hay, but I'm thinking that won't be warm enough overnight, so I'm thinking of shutting him in the Wendy house with the other two overnight if he doesn't go in by himself later. It's not that big, 5ft x 4ft I think but there's a big hut (well, dog kennel) in the here to give another level, so they can stay out of each other's way if they want to.

I doubt I'll be sleeping much tonight. I can just about see the buns from the sofa, so I'll camp out here at least until the early hours.
