New new mini flop mum help

Hi everyone I'm new to this all. My daughter got 2 mini flops yesterday 10weeks boys, and this is the first time we have had rabbits.

I jist wanted to make sure I'm not missing anything or doing anything wrong.

Is there anything I can add in or take away.

Also is the size okay?

We do have a big livingroom so once they are settled the are free to hop around the livingroom.

They have also been good at using them box for litter

Am still awaiting on more mats coming for the floor.

Am I right saying they don't like things in their bed as they just kick it out all the time

Do they maybe need some more toys?

Any advice 🙏 please be kind new here 🙏

It's nice to see that they have space to run around, especially as you plan to increase the space later.

I would suggest that they need a lot more hay. It should form the main part of their diet, plus a water bowl (heavy ceramic type).
They may need a larger litter tray as they grow. Most rabbits like sitting in the trays for ages. Underbed storage boxes or large cat trays work well.

They need vaccinating ASAP. Also get the vet to check that they are actually both boys (mistakes happen all the time) and get advice on neutering. Adolescent rabbits will fight and would have to be separated - so better to neuter as soon as is practical rather than leave it until the bond is broken irretrievably.

Aww this is fab thanks. Okay great I've jist added more hay so it's nice and stocked up now inside the cage and out. I have 2 litter trays once inside to but will make the one outside bigger for sure.

Okay great I've actually called vets for pets were my dogs go so getting them checked and vax ASAP

Oh god I could imgine one boy one girl hahah

I have a water bowl here I will get that filled up now and keep the spare water bottle for inside as they seem to enjoy the dogs scruff mat for their food

I use a large plastic plant pot saucer under water bowls if they are on carpet or other flooring that will be affected by getting wet all the time as splashes always seen to seep in under the bowl.

Amazing thank you will look this out. Went out and got some bunny balls and toys and a bridge for them so will look out a big saucer

Excellent information and advice about everything relating to the care of Rabbits can be found here

I would plan to book them in for neutering asap (boys can be done from 12 weeks) as otherwise they can start fighting as they hit puberty. If they are neutered early you may have luck in keeping them friends. Do be prepared that you might need to make a second set up if they start fighting, they will be need to be split straight away if so.
