How to give Bio-Lapis with food?

As a very long series of scans and tests look to draw to a conclusion it is looking very likely that my Millie will be put on a course of strong antibiotics early next week to address some identified deep tooth/gum infections. My vet has recommended that I start her on pro-biotics a couple of days before the antibiotics, so I have purchased some Bio Lapis sachets. The recommendation is to give one sachet with 50ml of water, unfortunately Millie lives with George who will literally eat and drink anything and everything, so leaving it out in a bowl of water all day isn't really an option. I would like to give it to her on some food before each dose - assuming the antibiotics are 2 doses per day I am thinking to give one sachet to her in 2 halves about 30-60 minutes before each dose. Is that ok, or should I give it to her all in one go at the start of the day? And from experience, what is the best way to give on food - mashed banana, grated carrot, something else? My vet said to mix it with a little water to make a paste before putting on any food, but I've read some people just sprinkle it on. Any advice will be welcome!

Just sprinkle it on a food you know she’ll eat. It can be given in one go and it doesn’t matter if George has it too. The idea is that the probiotic helps to colonise ‘good’ bacteria in the cecum which antibiotic treatment can disrupt. Although even Vets don’t all agree on whether probiotics are of any benefit. But even if they are not, they won’t do any harm.

So theres no need to give it in divided doses, no need to dilute it in water, but you can do so. And it won’t harm any other Rabbits who ingest it, it’s not like a ‘drug’.

Personally I use Fibreplex if I ever use a probiotic. It’s a paste that you administer directly into the Rabbit’s mouth once a day. With Fibreplex you know the Rabbit needing a probiotic gets it and gets the full amount.
