Final photos of bonding - much less porn this time

Another night of humping. I am shattered and had to go to a Child Protection Meeting this morning, despite being on leave. I walked in at 9.30 am and the meeting had started at 9.15 am. All these professionals looked at me and I didn't think it was the right time to explain I was kept awake by bunnies I was bonding humping all night!!!

I have been leaving them a fair bit as there has been no aggression at all. They were all quiet yesterday afternoon and evening. Dylan keeps doing DBF's and because he lives outside and I haven't seen them before I worry he has died and panic.

I am hoping to put them outside this weekend as if I don't it will have to wait a couple of weeks as once I go back to work on Monday I won't get a day off for 10 days - am working the weekend as well as the week. I want to be home when I put them outside so I can keep an eye on them.

Dylan did groom Frangipan this morning and I have seen Frangipan groom Bumble. They are all eating together and sitting together.

Despite Dylan's DBF's he seems stressed as does Molly and I think it's because they are used to having lots and lots of space and they are feeling confined. Dylan isn't eating as much as usual which is a concern. He is an old man and I don't think he likes change.

It all sounds wonderfully positive

I wonder if increasing the space 'little' might help calm everyone down?

Sometimes I think a small space doesn't help. I think sometimes they kind of need their 'own space' as well. If that makes sense!

That's actually a good idea. I could add a couple of panels to the pen.

Thank you guys:wave:

I really don't want to give up as all is going so well but equally I can't risk Dylan going into stasis. Both he and Molly are used to having a fenced off area of the back yard to free range in all day. Dylan doesn't use it that much, but it's there.

Thinking about he, he does spend quite a bit of time alone during the day when Molly is out playing. He may be finding the company of three other buns 24/7 too much for a bun of his advanced years, especially as both Bumble and Frangipan aren't yet fully grown and are very active. The other three are often in a corner of the pen and he is in the other corner so he could just need some 'Dylan' time.

He looks a bit 'confused' if that makes sense. I am just about to go and clean out their tray and pen (sadly they are not good with their litter tray) and will add a couple of panels then.

That hadn't even occurred to me. I do love this site:love:

All has gone amazingly well and if this continues tonight they will be put outside tomorrow as I am home all day to keep an eye on them.

I'll try and put some more photos up tomorrow of days three and four.

A friend came over today to help me try and de-clutter my house and we worked in my bedroom for a long time. The buns were a bit stressed having someone they didn't know moving things around in close proximity to them and so they huddled together a lot. I gave them all funugreek crunchies which they shared nicely.

I've noticed Dylan does need time away from the other three but he flops happily and is eating as usual again now so I am not as worried as I was. Bumble and Frangipan are both humpy but they are both under a year old and energetic.

There has been a lot of grooming and snuggling.

The chasing and humping has decreased considerably but if I wasn't working for ten days without a break wef Monday I would have left it a bit longer before putting them outside, but I don't want to keep them inside for another eleven days so out they go tomorrow.

I know all could still go horribly wrong but there has been no fighting or aggression at all. All buns seemed happy. I guess Dylan and Molly are used to being bonded, Bumble had got so lonely he had bonded himself and Frangipan was also desperate for company.

They make a lovely quartet. I will take some more photos tomorrow when they are outside. I am sure they will be pleased to have the space to run and binky.

Thank you all for your support. I will update tomorrow - with pics.

Some photos of the latter stages of bonding - humping has significantly decreased and there has been quite a lot of grooming:)

Frangipan and Bumble - these two have really taken to each other, which is great as they will be sharing a hutch

Bumble and Frangipan exploring - the tiny wooden structure isn't where they sleep - it's a hidey box they sometimes use during the day when they are out, although they have access to their hutches.

I am really happy with the way it went. Frangipan especially is loving having space to run - she has been stuck in a pen in my spare room since I adopted her and frequently escaped and went free range causing chaos - well she is a BARC bun after all :)

Thank you everyone for your support. I keep checking on the quartet and they seem happy. My only concern is trying to catch Frangipan to put her to bed - I have a feeling it won't be easy!

All went well overnight:D

Frangipan was in Molly and Dylan's hutch with Molly when it was bedtime so it was easy to catch her and put her in the other hutch. I checked on them when I got home last night and gave Molly some metacam as her eye looks a bit sore and they were quiet and settled.

Just hope it stays mild for a bit longer as Frangipan has been inside since I adopted her. I put loads and loads of shredded paper and hay in her sleeping compartment and will add a snugglesafe if it does get cold. She does have a much thicker coat than George and Gemma as I think she was outside at BARC and the room she was in here was cold.

Frangipan loves the extra space and is so much happier now she has bunny company and Bumble seems livelier too now he has someone young to play with. Molly and Dylan weren't that interested:cry:

I am a Very Happy Bunny Mummy at the moment. I am back to work tomorrow and my house is still a mess but I have four bonded bunnies - which is much more important!!

Awwwww fabulous......well done on such hard work.

Ive really enjoyed reading your thread and have made notes for when I take the plunge and move up to a quad.

The buns look very happy and thats what matters.

P.s Could your friend help you tidy up next weekend, just explain you are exhausted after all the humping monitoring and as the phrase goes.....many hands make light work.

Please update us from time to time on the groups progress. :)

Sadly, I work weekends for my night job. The rota has changed and I now work every Saturday and every Sunday either day or night. I am going to book some more leave from my day job though so I can get on with the tidying and I do have friends who help - Sam (Bluesmum) is one of them - she is brilliant.

Thank you everyone for your support. When I move to a smaller house with a bigger garden I intend bonding all my outside buns together in a group of nine - now that will be a challenge!!!!
