Chewing, not shredding, fabric

So, my ivy is a chewing demon. Not because she likes to chew, that's just being a rabbit, but because she is hell bent on chewing everything but her *very* numerous chew toys. She's destroyed slippers, curtains, most of the sofa, every book I own, my glasses case and she's taken a lump of plaster off the wall. I have provided every distraction I can think of, hard chews, softs chews, hanging chews, willow chews, forage treats, hidden toys, boxes and tunnels. We have lived side by side for 10 years now, I know my mission to stop her eating stuff that can harm her, and her mission to destroy my house will never cease.

But she has developed a strange new chewing habit I find odd. After I lost my precious Olive, I passed on her bun bed to ivy and Odie to have in their out of cage enclosure. Neither rabbit will sleep on it (why would they where there are hard cold surfaces to flop on?!), but ivy has taken to chewing the fabric manically and repeatedly, but not to the point of shredding it. I know she could shred it if she wanted to, I've taken blankets off her before because she was eating them, so why is she just chewing this like chewing gum? Has anyone else had a rabbit do this?

Ivy is an on going mystery to me. I've always had rabbits and know them well, they all live long, full lives. But Ivy has rather too much personality for a rabbit. She likes aggressive games, like when I hide my hand under a blanket and then bop it up and down, she'll jump on it and attack it! Or I'll draw my hand into my jumper sleeve and dangle it near her, she will box and fight the sleeve! When she jumps on the sofa to chew whatever she can find she's not in the least bothered by being pushed and shifted, she just comes back ten fold! She's my Ivy the terrible!

Is Ivy spayed and does she have a companion? I am not sure if she is bonded with Odie?
Is she kept shut in a cage or is it just a base and she has permanent access to the enclosure ?

Of course she's spayed! And 100% bonded with Odie, they are adorable together. With her level of mischief I have to lock them away when I'm not there to supervise, but they are out lots and lots and the cage takes up about 1/4 of the room, it's huge!

Being rescues I'm not 100% on their ages but ivy is around 11 and odie is around 11-13. They both breezed through their recent health checks.

I've no clue why Ivy is doing this but she sounds an awesome character ❤️ Breezing through health checks at 11+ is no mean feat, thats all i could think to discuss from your thread but you already got it covered

Ha I also had a bun named Ivy who would destroy whatever she could get hold of. I was forever re-bun proofing things, she was a right diva!

She's amazing, but more than and handful, not cuddley or afraid to give a quick nip to put me in my place! Today she was chewing/sucking the bun bed and she let me fuss her! She normally can't be doing with human fussing. I wonder if there is a grooming/bonding element to her weird behaviour? She spends many hours grooming Odie, more than he gives back, naughty boy! Maybe seeking extra love?

She's a complex little fluff butt!
