Anyone interested in a bunny rescue team effort?

Hee. I'm glad they're all doing well. I think you need to ban yourself from Gumtree etc for a while!

The Wayward Buns are all doing very well thank you.

(And to add to the discussion of the3B's favourite buns, I'd go for Buffy always. ;) She's precious.)
 
Do you think he'd look good with Doughnut? lol!

When I asked my specialist about getting a friend for Doughnut he said he would worry she would be dominated and thought it best that I left her on her own as she see me as her friend. Especially since she is unwell but if I saw Theo in person I think I would find it hard not to bunny nap him. Especially since he's even cuter in person.

Haha yes she looks cute too. If we had our way 3B's would be 0B's.
 
You guys :lol: I better invest in some more padlocks ;):lol:

Theo is seriously cute though, I'll get a couple of pics for you today if I can. He's such a friendly, chilled bun and has some amusing habits. He waits till the minute I've redone the litter trays to start flinging it all out again and when I'm sweeping up in there he will climb on top of the pile and follow the dustpan around :lol:. He puts in a mad amount of effort for a little bun :) x

Ah that would be lovely to see some pics. That's strange as Doughnut jumps into the dustpan while I'm sweeping up and starts eating the old hay in it like she's starving, ignoring all the fresh hay in her litter tray. She loves the dustpan, I take her on a little ride around the house on it lol. Maybe because they are both little bunnies they can fit in it. Well Theo looks super cute so nice to know he's entertaining as well.

I love that you give Doughnut a ride around the house in the dustpan, that must be uber-cute :love:

I have a photo of mine with the dustpan. He was asked to sweep up after having left herbs from the fridge all over the floor when we were on holiday. He did try, but within 5 seconds he fell asleep with his head in the dustpan. I have a photo :love:

Haha you'll have to get in line for Theo. I think since he's small he may be able to go on a ride with Doughnut on the dustpan lol. Anyone watching would think I'm mad but she likes it and when I stop she remains in it for a while until she realises the ride has finished.

Glad I'm "first" in the queue for his wifebun then. ;)

I still remember our discussions about our unexpected rescues of "white" buns. It means I always associate my Persephone with Buffy. :lol: Plus Buffy's reactions to Sydney before he passed on.

Arce will sometimes start trying to throw around the dustpan if she doesn't want things swept up for whatever reason. :lol:
 
Hi all, I’ve been absent from RU for a while. Various reasons. I’ve just seen this thread, SO sorry I didn’t see it at the time. I’m in Nottingham and am totally available for bunny rescue driving and picking up etc. I can’t take any more on but can help with driving etc as I have a big car and work 4 days a week, not 5. I actually saw these 3 on gumtree, I tried to persuade OH to get them but he sensibly reminded me that my 5 was enough. Its SO difficult and I do have to try not to look on Gumtree but it’s so hard not to just check that all’s ok. There’s currently a bunny on there that I think is living in a pet carrier, I have tried to find out about it but the answers I get are very vague. My spare cage is currently on loan to a local rescue but she’s finished with it so once I get it back I could go and check. But then what do I do with the bunny?
The effort for these 3 was amazing and I’m so glad they got a better home. Xx

Thanks CL :) It really was an amazing effort from everyone and I'm so glad it came together. That's a kind offer of transport and may be of help to someone in the future.

It's interesting that you saw the ad too then and that they ended up with someone on here ;) I'll be posting an update and some photos when I get an opportunity.

With regards to the bun you've seen, does your rescue contact have any space? Are you in a position to take them on? Or do you know someone who might be able to? It's good to have a plan in place and know that you could provide a home for them if it comes to it x
