Some of you might remember the turbulent time that Fifi had last year with her EC - temporary loss of use of her hind legs, marked head tilt, epic ear infection. She came through it and she has been doing very well subsequently. She has a very, very slight tilt still but otherwise you wouldn't think there had ever been anything amiss.
Today she is different. When I went to see her this morning she was sat huddled underneath a stool, but in a lovely nest of hay so didn't think too much about it until she didn't come out at all. Unburied her and she put up with a lot of fuss and headrubs... again not really in her character, she tends to accept for a little while and then bob off to do her own thing. Wee and poo output is good, only yesterday I was remarking on how much better Fifi and George's poops were. No nystagmus, good co-ordination. She is booked in to see the vet (Mrs Ford) this afternoon.
How could relapsing EC present itself? I hope it's not a silly question, in my head I'm answering "eerr, you've already seen it once?! surely it looks like that??" but I'm aware it can affect different parts of the body... I guess I'm just musing. Any thoughts greatly appreciated.
Will let you know what happens at the vets later on.
