  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Poorly Willow.nodular MYXI. UD 1/11/13

Update vet appointment

Just saw the vet, she was pleased with the progress willow has made, his eye nodule has scabbed over :thumb: apparently that's a good sign. The one by his whatnot is bit angry she said, but she would expect all of them to scab over within next week and fall off:thumb:

As long as willow continues to be well and eating she doesn't need to see him again:D she said she would contact me if the vaccine company say anything interesting!

She was negative about the echinacea drops  said it won't do any harm to give 1ml but she wouldn't bother

Brilliant news! glad Willow is recovering well. And glad he is enjoying being an indoor bun.... And your quite right the temp change would be far to much for you even to think about him going back outside now tee hee

Thanks everyone

Willow continues to do well today, eating just fine and I'm sure I saw a binky this morning too:thumb::love:

Hello

Only just realised willow has been ill as saw something on your other thread.

I'm so sorry he's not well, your doing the best you can and he's in the best hands.

Sending loads of hugs to you and nose rubs for willow.

Thanks everyone:wave:

I'm sure you all understand what willow means to me, Monday was the worst day ever, like having a poorly child at camp you can't get to:shock:

Each day at a time, but so far it's more positive than I imagined it would be on Monday.

Willow my miracle boy

Update 1st November

Just to let you all know willow still continues to do well :thumb::love:

Nodules are scabbing over, he's eating, pooping and active. Still giving him metacam although he could poss go without but for now I shall continue.

He is still happy inside, and so will stay in all winter now at least, I told hubby, this was his reaction

But he understands!

Will be trying to modify willows room today ;)
