New year and still can't catch a break

Yesterday evening I took Quinn out of his house to bring him in for nebulising and off-handedly checked his bottom. Nice and clean, but I got an unexpected shock- swollen genitals.

Alarm bells for a lot of you, I'm sure.

I took him to the vets first thing this morning and after a thorough check-up that's the only symptom he has (oedema of the outer genitals). Best case scenario he's bashed it but she can't rule out myxi. He's on anti-inflammatories and if no change/more symptoms he'll have to go back on Monday. (Yes, he is vaccinated)

So, currently on myxi watch

When did he have his last vaccination, was it in the last couple of weeks ? I really hope that he will be OK x

Not recently, no. I'd have to double check his vaccine card.

Oh no, I´m so sorry. I hope no other symptoms develops and the swelling goes away!

I asked as rarely an individual Rabbit can have an adverse reaction to the Vaccine and develop mild symptoms of Myxo. Obviously that’s not the case though xx

Morning nebulising and a quick check- eyes and nose clear, swelling reduced. Not quite back to normal yet but much more so than yesterday
