Damn Fireworks 😡 Dara & JJ Gut Stasis. U/D Both Now Better :-)

It's like a war zone here as well tonight - really loud and in local gardens. My dogs are not bothered and the cats are OK (one is totaly deaf now). Just hoping the bunnies and guinea pigs are OK outside. The only plus is that we have some fireworks going off practically every night all year so they are somewhat desensitised to random bangs. These seem to be bothering me far more than the furries.

It's really not fair to inflict this on anything.

Sending calming vibes to any fuzzball that needs it. Hopefully only one more night to go.

Fireworks been going off non stop since about 7pm.

Dara and JJ not eating again, JJ causing me serious concern

I have also called the Police as it’s illegal for fireworks to be set off after 11pm

I have been up all night. Dara is now a lot better. I didn’t even medicate her as there was no clinical need. She wasn’t eating whilst Armageddon was raging outside. She had normal gut sounds and output and abdomen felt 100% normal. She wasn’t eating because she was TERRIFIED

JJ, on the other hand is now very unwell. He is on prokinetics, analgesics, IV fluids. He is far too stressed to take anything by mouth. No input or output for almost 10 hours, hypothermic so has a heat source, BG 14, no gut sounds, empty stomach and intestines, some gas but no bloating yet.

JJ can’t die, he just can’t
