Hoppit!
Wise Old Thumper
So my vet FINALLY got round to referring Pickles to the specialist, only to be told there's nothing they can do anyway. He's got dodgy tooth roots on the right side and he's stopped eating hay and grass altogether, which means his poos are just a horrible sticky mess and he's in a real state all the time. The poor darling. I'm feeding him Protexin pellets (I don't know who it was who recommended them but they are helping a bit so thank you!) and fibreplex but I just don't know what else to do. Does anyone know of any other seriously high fibre pellets? I've heard that some wild plants, like bramble leaves, are good for squishy poos - does anyone have any experience with that? Also, (and I know this is probably a really silly question but I'm clutching at straws here) would a high-fibre human cereal, like bran flakes, help at all?
Any advice or suggestions would be really gratefully received.
