Hugo's There
Wise Old Thumper
Bessie is not at all well and she would be very grateful for any spare vibes please
Bessie was one of the Gloucestershire bunnies, she is 5 years old and blind and deaf, but has developed into such a little character in the short time she has been with us
Late last night she went off her food and within an hour her breathing was very laboured. I knew her tummy didn't feel right but wasn't sure if it was her tummy upsetting her breathing or her breathing putting her off her food as she has had a mild respiratory infection already :?
Made her comfortable last night and rushed her to the vets first thing. It is her tummy causing the problems, it is very bloated and pressing on her diaphragm She has had fluids and high levels of pain relief but no metaclopromide in case of a blockage. Jen couldn't feel one but doesn't want to take the risk. We have left X rays for now as Bessie wasn't going to allow a conscious one, the world can be a scary place for her. And we didn't want to risk a GA.
I am continuing throughtout the day with fluids and zantac etc.
So far she has shown no signs of improvement
