The buns have moved out!

Warren Scout
...After 2 months of waiting :D
The summer house has finally been built and put into place. I've meshed the inside to stop somebunny from eating the wood ;) I still need a shelf (with a barrier) to attach onto the trofast and put lino or carpet tiles onto it. But other than that the inside is pretty much done :thumb:
I'm locking them inside of a night as the run still needs a bit of work, the roof needs putting on properly with a mesh panel. The hutch is temporary incase I have to split them up - I was a bit worried the new space would cause a fight but so far so good :) it's also an emergency shelter incase they knock the wood that's holding the catflap up, and can't get back inside  The door to the run needs a bolt lock put on. Oh and it needs a good paint job!
I plan to remove the hutch and add a digging area and something for them to climb onto.

Heres the whole thing from the outside (bad picture due to sudden heavy rain :lol: )

Inside - I've also got a little hidey box which isn't in the picture.

Lola surprised me by using the opened cat flap straight away and all by herself, Charlie was sleeping inside

Any ideas on how I can improve it are more than welcome, I'm not very imaginative so I've been looking for (robbing ;) ) ideas from you lovely RU'ers :D

Wow that looks amazing!!!! Very lucky rabbits!

Its so lovely to see people giving their rabbits the max they can......in the past, i would have been more likely to make all that room and then fill it to the brim with as many animals as i could fit in it! Luckily, maturity has set in and i cant wait to give my all to my two little buns when they arrive!

Great job!

Can i ask where you got that 3-in-1 green tunnel thing? it looks fantastic!

Thanks x

Thank you
My first bun - joey, spent most of his life in a tiny 4foot hutch  before I knew any better so I really want these 2 to have the best start which joey never had.
The green tunnel is from pets at home, the cube comes with 1 tunnel for £20 and the tunnels on their own are £10 but they had a special 3 for 2 offer on :)

It looks great! When you move the hutch, why not incorporate the digging box with somewhere for you to sit too, I love sitting in our run and watching the buns. Obviously it also doubles up as somewhere for them to jump up too.

Thats a great idea, thank you. At the moment I just sit on the floor
And Tonibun, yes the mesh came on a big role, I think 20 or 30metres and 3 foot wide. It was off ebay. I don't think its the strongest stuff so I'll be going around the bottom half of the panels again, just to be safe :thumb:

Very lucky bunnies :) makes me want to get working on my shed :)

are your storage boxes from Ikea? :)

Yeah, it's the trofast unit. Charlie has already shown me he can climb upto the top part so I'm a bit scared incase he falls off :? Hopefully have a shelf with a barrier on by the weekend :)

Ooohhh thank you I may get one and have it as a window ledge look out kind of thing :)

hugs xx

That's what I originally wanted. I was going to put it going along the side so they could see out and for easy access for me to get into the draws (rather than attempt to climb over bunnies, tunnels and toys  ) but it sticks out too much for my shed and covers abit of the door way so looks a bit silly :( oh well, its more fun to climb over everything ;)
