Hoping he’s feeling much better today.
I don’t know if this has any relevance, but one of my colleagues has a teenage son who has epilepsy. He had a massive seizure (much worse than usual) the same day as Lord H. She said she knew that he was going to have one because of the change in weather. She says that getting out of a hot car and into the cooler air can trigger them. I’m just wondering if there are any triggers for him, other than changes in his meds. Love and nose rubs for you all x
I may be way off here, and this may be pointless, but you could get one of those air purifier things with a hepa filter? If he lives indoors? Idk if it would help, but it keeps the air quality good - we have a Dyson fan with a purifier in and honestly it's helped me so much with various things, but you can just get a purifier on amazon don't think they're that expensive.. This may not be helpful to him at all it's just you mentioned bad air quality.I think the weather may well have played a part in it all. Not so much the heat, but the oppressive atmosphere and very poor air quality. During his worst seizure I really did not think he'd survive. He bit right through his tongue too
Today he is coping OK. No more full seizures, but he's still having a few 'absences'. His GI tract symptoms are considerably better. Not quite 100% yet, but almost 'normal' for him.
It's the not knowing what the actual cause of his problems is that makes it all worse. The Specialist said it's basically that his autonomic nervous system is 'wired up all wrong'.
I could continue to spend £1000s on diagnostics but both my Vet and the Specialist feel that doing so would probably not provide any more treatment options than those we are already using.
As long as Lord H has quality of life, is not in pain and is happy within himself then I think we'll just continue to take things one day at a time. I know some people will not agree with my decision and think I should be taking him to yet more 'Specialists'. But I feel my decision is right for Lord H.

I'm glad he's feeling better x

Yea it's definitely helped me with hayfever, dust mites etc xI'll certainly look into that. An air purifier may help me too. Thank you x
